BRIEF INTRODUCTION TO ZHAO DAHUA (LAWYER)
Zhao Dahua, male, Chinese, born in September, 1957, graduated
from the Japanese Major of Changchun Teachers’ College in 1983
and completed his graduate studies , majoring in criminal law ,
at the Law School of Jilin University in 1988 with a master
degree of the science of law.
He worked as a teacher in the Law School of Jilin University
from 1988 to 1994. Then in April, 1994, he resigned from his
teaching post and founded
Dahua Law Firm of Jilin province (now known as Jilin Dahua Mingren
Law Firm), the first Law firm in partnership in Jilin Province.
Since he began his career of a professional lawyer, Zhao Dahua
has acted as the long-term legal adviser for nearly one hundred
enterprises and institutions, and handled over two hundred
contentions cases and non-contentions cases of legal services ,
many of which were well known not only in Jilin province but
also at home and abroad.
Four books(collections of lawyers’ research papers and books for
education of populace about the law), namely, A Practical
Handbook for Handling Student-Injuring Accidents , A Legal Guide
to Prevention and Treatment of Contagious Diseases , In the Eye
of Law (Vol.1) and Selected Papers by Lawyers of Jilin Dahua
Mingren Law Firm , have been published , Zhao Dahua being the
chief writer and editor. Several issues of Dahua Mingren
Lawyers, a periodical with Zhao Dahua as the chief editor, have
been published.
At present Zhao Dahua holds the office of Director of Jilin Dahua
Mingren Law Firm and some other offices as well including Deputy
Director of Liaison Working Committee of the Bar Association of
Jilin Province, Assistant Secretary-General of Changjiang
Network for Chinese Lawyers ,Chief legal Consultant for
Changchun Real-Estate Association and Vice Chairman of Board of
Directors of Cooperative Network of Protecting Intellectual
Property Rights of Chinese Lawyers.
On December 18, 2003, Zhao Dahua was chosen as a “Benevolent
Personage to Keep the Impartiality of Justice” by the Ministry
of Justice, CPC Office of Advanced Culture and Ideology, CPC
Office of General Administration of Social Environment,
All-China Federation of Trade Unions, Central Committee of
Communist Youth League of China and CCTV through public
appraisal .
On August 25, Zhao Dahua was engaged by the Leading Group of
Juvenile Delinquency Prevention of Jilin Province as a
consultant on 12355 Hotline for Juvenile Right-protection and
Mental Consultation.
